Scoodle Doot Babies

My friend, Lisa, ordered some gifts for her two friends who just had babies. We decided to make a hooded towel and a burp cloth for each girl. Oh, how I LOVE girl things! It's a little girl's world!

Scoodle Doots - Rhett Goes to Preschool

You read that title correctly. Although it is April, Rhett had to suddenly start preschool because the lady that was watching him when I went to work got another job.

Anyways, while reading through the school's policies, I found that they had to have a cup with their name on it. I decided I'd take it a step further (because I was bored) and monogrammed him a sippy cup instead
using some of my favorite boy fabric that I found at Cabbage Rose in Fort Worth.

His lunchbox had to have his name on it too - the monogram machine was out and set up - why not monogram his lunchbox while I was at it?

Now if I can find the time to monogram his backpack...

Scoodle Doots - Braylin's 1st Birthday

Aunt Jessica had big surprises in store for "Braylin Girl's" 1st birthday! She ordered a ribboned hoodie and a personalized shirt. Both turned out so spunky! Aunt Jessica did a really good job! I am sure Braylin will look precious in her new gifts. Happy late birthday to you, Braylin!

The orginal plan was to sew "Braylin" across the sweatshirt, but plans had to change. I just couldn't fit her 'long' name on that tiny sweatshirt. We decided to stick to her initials instead.

I wish Aunt Jessica could be my aunt!

Scoodle Doots - Ashley

Gran D also had some surprises for Ashley. She order 1) a hooded towel. I was instructed to make it pink with a lab on the hood (Ashley has a black lab who is truly part of the fam).

Gran D also ordered some monogrammed panties (diaper covers) for Ashley. It's almost summer time, and one can't have their plain diaper showing when wearing sundresses now, can they? The one that reads "Little Dumpling" was a special request by Ashley's grandfather... Ashley's mommy, Angie, had panties with "Little Dumpling" monogrammed on them when she was a baby b/c that was her dad's nickname for her. In the spirit of tradition, Gran D had no choice but to get "Dumpling" panties for Ashley, too.

Happy Scoodle Dooter - customer pic

A word from Phoebe's mom...

This picture doesn't do it justice because it is C-U-T-E! When Phoebe pulled it out of the envelope she said it was for "Fancy Phoebe"! (We've been reading "Fancy Nancy".) Unfortunately it's been too wet and muddy to wear this fancy hoodie, but I'm hoping she can wear it tomorrow to school.

Well, Fancy Phoebe, I hope you got to wear it to school!

Scoodle Doots - Farmer Ty

Baby Ty's grandmother, Grand D, placed an order for two hooded towels (blue and green) for Ty with the theme being "farm animals" since he lives on a farm in Dripping Springs. I thought it was the perfect theme for the sweetest little farmer baby.

Scoodle Doots... Phoebe Ribboned Hoodie

Jordan, a childhood friend and fellow ACU'er, ordered a ribboned hoodie for her sassy three-year-old, Phoebe. This project was extra fun (and a little scary) because Jordan (and her mom) are not only amazing sewers, but Jordan is Little Miss Crafty. Seriously - if anyone should be a stay-at-home-mom/housewife, it's Jordan. She does it soooooo well and makes it look effortless... always cooking incredible meals and desserts, always so very organized and the house looks picked up/cleaned in every picture she takes, she opens up her new home for festive parties and church functions (she goes ALL out, folks), she's constantly thinking of new creative ways to celebrate each and every holiday (including the little ones that most of us don't even know about - ie. National Pancake Day)... she makes her kids' Halloween costumes, people. She's Martha Stewart, but cuter and nicer.
Of course Jordan had the cutest Heather Bailey fabrics picked out for Phoebe's hoodie. Aren't they precious? I mean, who couldn't have fun with these fabrics???

I sure did! I can't wait to see how cute red-headed Phoebe looks in her perfectly picture pink/red/blue Scoodle Doots Ribboned Hoodie. Look out, Texas Panhandle. One of your cowgirls just got a little bit more sassy.

Scoodle Doots... Chunky Monkey 1st Birthday

I had the most fun with this order! Kason (or "Chunky Monkey" as his mother calls him) is turning one, and his ever sooooooooooo creative and spunky mom has a perfect first birthday party planned for him. The theme is "5 Little Monkeys", and she asked me to make a shirt and sippy cup to go with the theme. If that was not fun enough, she is actually going to decorate a table to look like a bed (told ya she was creative), so she also ordered a standard pillowcase to match the shirt and cup. Thanks, Natalie, for this order. I had a B.L.A.S.T.

***Sorry about the poor quality of the pictures. BOTH of my cameras are broken, so these pics were taken with an iPhone...

coordinating pillow case for the "bed" table
Oh, this pillow case is so precious. This picture just doesn't do it justice.
The spotted orange grosgrain ribbon and the orange thread I used to monogram the words "Chunky Monkey" really tie the orange dots of the lime green fabric together. In order to pull more of the spunky lime green into the pillow case,
I used lime green thread to sew down Kason's name which I realize is hard to see in this pictures. You are just going to have to take my word for it when I say it is REALLY cute!

Again, I apologize for the poor picture quality of the iPhone camera, but you get the idea. NEVER have I had such fun with monkeys, bananas and polka-dots!

Happy 1st birthday, sweet Kason!!!

Scoodle Doots Aprons

The Women's Ministry at our church is preparing for the next women's retreat at the end of January. I was asked to monogram the aprons they had made for the event. I think they turned out super cute!

It is hard to see from the picture, but the aprons are black with lime green and white polka-dotted grosgrain ribbon at the top and along the pockets.
Their names are all monogrammed in lime green (they chose the fonts they wanted), and "SGCC Women's Ministry Team" is monogrammed beneath them in white.

Birthday Scoodle Dooter

Happy sixth birthday, Grant!
Grant was excited to get to wear his green cowboy boots to school on his special day. I think they look quite yee-haw cute if I do say so myself.
